Tried TextasticApp. Few observations.

1. FTP connections fails after showing the loading icon for 10-15 seconds. Comes up with invalid error like “Login denied” where as I am using the same settings on my iMac and the Filezilla works beautifully. Also ensured to have 1 maximum connection be disconnecting from Filezilla.

For me the best value of this app would be the ability to quickly update content while roaming if ftp fails it defeats the purpose.

Thanks for the link to textastic! That’s the best one out there, and now that I found it my search for a nice html editor for ipad is officially over. Phew.

Gusto is terrible: no syntax highlighting alone would turn me off, but there’s also no line wrap, another no-go all by itself.

P.S. Vidal, it would be helpful if you included info about which stores have which apps (most are not available in the US store, and it becomes confusing).

Thought I’d give a shout out for Textastic; it’s perhaps the best code editor out there for the iPad. Had to really look for it, but WOW is it polished.

I’ve tried ftp-on-the-go and was unable to connect to any of my site which require sftp. I wrote to their support address and have yet to receive any answer. It’s been about a month now so I’m looking for a replacement.
